Suffering from heartbreak? Khloé Kardashian can help! The 31-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star dished out some useful advice on how to move on from an ex during a new livestream.
Kardashian, whose exes include Lamar Odom, James Harden and French Montana, recorded the video — which she posted to her website on Wednesday, May 25 — while applying a face mask.
“I don’t believe that there is a timeline for grieving or healing or getting over someone or something,” she told fans. “I think that we all heal in our own time, some are faster than others, and I think some loves are harder to get over than others.”
The reality star added, “The busier you are, the less you’re gonna think about something, so try to consume your thoughts with really productive things. Try to just find a hobby and keep yourself busy in a really positive way. Surround yourself by family and friends that you love and that really occupy your mind. I think that is super important. The more alone you are, the more you think about something. You’re just going to overthink and our brains play tricks on us, which is never healthy. And eventually, every day it will get better and better.”
Kardashian and her most recent ex, Harden, 26, broke up in February after six months together. Through much of their relationship, she was busy helping estranged husband Odom, 36, recover from his highly publicized October drug overdose. The reality personality and former NBA player, who tied the knot in 2009, temporarily put a hold on their divorce as she stayed by his side while he recuperated.
“It’s OK to move on from [someone], but you could still love them from a distance,” she continued during the livestream. “If people are destructive to you emotionally, that doesn’t mean you can’t still love them. You just have to learn to take better care of yourself.”
The Strong Looks Better Naked author jokingly added, “I do know that if you find another guy to flirt with, it’s a little easier.”
