Still the moon of his life. Jason Momoa, who memorably played the now-deceased Khal Drogo on HBO's Game of Thrones, reacted to Emilia Clarke's buzzed-about, triumphant nude scene, which aired this past Sunday, May 15.
In the final moments of the episode, Clarke's character, Daenerys Targaryen — who was known as "Khaleesi" after she married Dothraki leader Khal Drogo — emerges from a hut after literally incinerating a group of arrogant Dothraki khals who threaten to rape her. (As witnessed in season 1, Clarke's character, the "Mother of Dragons," is immune to fire.) She then takes her place again as ruler of the Dothraki people, who bowed down after she murdered all of the male leaders.
Momoa, 36, posted a screen-grab of Clarke emerging naked from the flames and has clearly been Team Khaleesi all along. "Hahahahahahahahahahahhhahaha," the Aquaman hunk captioned the pic. "I love GOT. Don't f–k with my boo. Hahahahahahahahah @emilia_clarke love u Moon of my life ALOHA DROGO."
Momoa's character was killed off in the first season, but he hinted at a possible reappearance on GoT last month.
Clarke, 29, also reacted to the scene in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. "Every season I get at least one spine-chilling moment. I just stand up and I go, ‘I’m hearing what you’re all saying, but funny thing, I’m going to kill you all. I forgot that I have an ace in my back pocket and now I win,'" she joked.
She also responded to nudity haters. "I’d like to remind people the last time I took my clothes off was season 3. That was a while ago," she said. "It’s now season 6. But this is all me, all proud, all strong. I’m just feeling genuinely happy I said ‘Yes.’ That ain’t no body double!”
Game of Thrones airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
